"Stay with it" is always returning instruction in all the difficulties one encounters  in the meditation process (life). stay in the moment and accept what is there. Take seriously what you feel and think. allow what is in you to manifest,  without suppressing and without identifying with it.  Everything comes and goes, nothing is constant, although sometimes it feels that you are stuck, it is just an thickening of energies. allowing them  to be, breathing into them without wanting them to go away will give them air and motion follows. 

The art is "to stay with it without becoming it".
